New logo and new life in Thanet
We have refreshed our church logo. We have had a few new faces join over the last 12 months or so and this felt like a good time for everyone to take ownership of something for the church.
This logo continues the themes that identify our church (indeed any church really) but with location playing its part too. The life ring and the anchor betray our proximity to the sea. They also function as images of what church should do. The life ring can only be thrown out to someone; it cannot on its own save them. And so, the church is the place that someone can be pulled into – but on its own, cannot save them. Only the work of God can do that. And the anchor serves to remind us and others that everything we do as a church is anchored in God’s unchanging, perfect word.
And we have had our first new converts join the church family. In what has been hard ground to plough – many times have felt like chiselling concrete – a couple have both quite dramatically come to the Lord together. And they are from the village we meet... Pray for them in particular, as they are both already feeling spiritual resistance from the devil.
