Light in London

I attended my very first light party this year! It was a really special evening, an ‘instead of trick-or treating’ event for children and families to come and celebrate the light of Christ together with crafts, games, activities, and a talk. Steph and I were joined by a brilliant group of helpers, both in the planning and execution of the night, and we genuinely had so much of fun together.

We welcomed St. Andrew’s church family, Wimbledon community, and even a couple kids who had never been to church ever before! I especially loved seeing our Pathfinders rise to the challenge of being helpers. They’re 5 of our 9-13 aged youth at St. Andrew’s, and it was a real joy to see them serve the younger kids with genuine care and and diligence.

My prayer is that the kids and their families who attended will hold on to the truth of the gospel, believing that Jesus really is the light of the world, showing us the way and guiding us through the darkness. And that we can continue hosting gatherings like these, and reach even more of our community.
