Summer church outdoors

The summer months do provide opportunity to ‘be church’ in outdoor places. We have enjoyed much lately, such as picnics and walks. It always garners curiosity from passers-by when they see a mixed bag of people gathering outdoors. And certainly, provides opportunities for conversations, even if simply explanations of what we’re doing and why we all meet.

Not having our own building and being limited of funds means the summer months are such an easy way to do basic outreach. For many of the older folk too, this often suffices as their only chance to get out.
